The Erdoğan-Biden dialogue curbs the Turkish lira's decline

A positive mood dominated the lira following the talks between the Turkish and American presidents, held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rome

The lira recovered 1% against the dollar, having lost more than 20%

since the beginning of 2021, with forecasts pointing to inflation rising to 20.4
percent annually, the highest rate in the previous three years

Separate data also showed that factory activity growth slowed in October, as supply chain problems limited production and reduced the flow of new orders

The Turkish Treasury announced that it plans to raise 11 billion dollars in external financing in 2022

through issuing bonds in international capital markets, so that total domestic borrowing reaches 41.6 billion dollars next year
