Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Wednesday 3/11/2021 that his country has overcome many difficulties in the field of energy.
He was speaking to reporters after receiving the ambassadors of a number of countries in the capital, Ankara.
Erdoğan stressed that what has been achieved over the last 19 years was accomplished with the support of the people.
He said: “Turkey has overcome many difficulties when it comes to energy, and God willing I will announce good news when we begin extracting natural gas from the Black Sea, but a little patience is needed”.
He explained that as soon as natural gas is extracted from the Black Sea the benefits will reach citizens, not only the state treasury.
The energy crisis in Turkey is one of the most decisive issues in the Turkish economy
and the country has come close to meeting its goal of extracting liquefied natural gas and crude oil
as part of the new phase that will begin in 2023
