President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visits the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday, in a move expected to push bilateral relations towards broader horizons of cooperation.
This comes as the culmination of Ankara's months-long efforts to mend relations with Riyadh.
The Turkish presidency said Erdoğan would discuss Ankara's relations with the Kingdom in meetings during the visit, as well as ways to increase cooperation.
The two sides' talks are expected to focus mainly on normalising relations between Ankara and Riyadh and restoring them to what they once were, on reviving trade and economic exchange, on developing joint investments and ways to support the Turkish economy, as well as on a number of political files, foremost among them developments in Yemen, Syria and Iraq, alongside the Iranian nuclear file and support for the Palestinian people
