How to get an e-Devlet code

Getting an e-Devlet code
One of the simplest and easiest things to do in Turkey is to obtain an e-Devlet code, and this is how it works:

Go to any PTT branch.
Go up to the clerk and ask for an e-Devlet code.
Do not forget to take your identity document (kimlik or residence permit)
and pay 4 Turkish lira for the code.
That simple step gives you your own e-Devlet code, valid for one use only, so it is best to change it and set a new password that only you know.

If you hold Turkish residency or Turkish citizenship and live outside Turkey, you can obtain an e-Devlet code free of charge from Turkish embassies and consulates, and you can also get a password for the e-government portal free of charge if you have an electronic signature.

Registering on e-Devlet
Once you have the code from the PTT branch, you will want to open e-Devlet and sign in so that you can use all of its services in Arabic, or in Turkish if your Turkish is good. But how? That is what this section explains:
1Click the e-Devlet link. 2Then fill in the two boxes with 1- your kimlik number, TC, and 2- the e-Devlet code you obtained from the PTT branch.

That is how you sign in to e-Devlet and join the 55 million users in Turkey.
