How to enrol your children in Turkish schools
Children are admitted to the first year at Turkish schools from the age of 6.
As for children whose families want them to start school early (before they turn six),
their case will be reviewed by the school administration according to their development,
and regulations governing their admission will be issued.
If your child is the right age for the first year (that is, has completed 72 months),
the documents needed for enrolment are:
1- Proof of address (from e-Devlet)
2- Passport photographs of the child.
3- Identity documents for the child and the parent (kimlik or residence permit).
How to register and confirm your child's place at the school
If the child is on the civil registry, they will be assigned automatically to the nearest school.
You can check which school your child has been assigned to through
the e-okul app
Once you have installed the app and logged in, you will see a box marked “e-Kayıt İşlemleri”
You then log in using your children's national identity number (TC)
and you will see which school your child has been assigned to.
Once you know the school, you take the required documents to the school office to complete the enrolment.
