Alanya, a paradise among Turkey's tourist destinations

Alanya is a charming coastal city and the jewel of Turkey's tourism capital,

lying in the south-west of the Turkish Republic,

specifically in the Mediterranean province of Antalya,

and it is 135 km to the east of the city of Antalya,

and because of its shape, resembling a small island looking out over the Mediterranean

below the Taurus Mountains, its location is strategic and its climate mild and appealing

dating from the thirteenth century, built after the conquest of Alanya in 1220 by Alaeddin Keykubad
and inside it you will see the ruins of a Seljuk cistern and reservoir, a Byzantine church, and the palace of Sultan Kabus
