Şahap Kavcıoğlu, governor of the Turkish Central Bank , said on Thursday that the Turkish Central Bank's reserves had reached 122 billion dollars, up from around 85 billion dollars
Speaking at the investor meeting held by the Turkish Central Bank, he said they would press on determinedly with the work of increasing the bank's reserves
He expected some of the factors that appear in Türkiye in the form of inflation to lose their effect soon
He added that in setting the central bank's monetary policy a wide range of analyses had been taken into account on the factors that influence that policy, such as demand components and core inflation and shocks arising from supply
Meanwhile official Turkish data have shown the consumer price index ( inflation ) in Türkiye rising by 1.25 per cent to reach 19.58 per cent year on year, at the same time as the government tightened its oversight of the country's large retailers in order to control prices and prevent profiteering
